Aesop Upper West Side Store Opening

Formerly the site of family-run dry cleaner Anel French Cleaners, Aesop Upper West Side’s store design was inspired by spaces of public intimacy — trusted neighborhood merchants such as the barbershop, salon and laundry.
To mark the opening of this signature store, literary publication The Paris Review was once again called upon to imbue the space with the intimacy of the written word. A striking window installation composed of stacks of the magazine was complemented by a neighborhood-focused poetry reading.
