A dinner series held at the APPPARATUS Gallery in New York, Eight at Eight was designed for the purpose of human connection, a core ethos of the studio. Founder Gabriel Hendifar wanted to recreate the feeling of “going to your favorite department store after hours, and getting to feel what it’s like when no one else is around.” The series was named for its simple format: eight people dining at 8 p.m. — a theme which the chef, Lauren Gerrie, extends to her menu by highlighting eight in-season ingredients. Guests included creative luminaries such as: Solange, Jenna Lyons, Justin Vivian Bond, and Andre Mellone.
